H. 'Lakeside Kaleidoscope'

2010 is the third year in a row I have exchanged Hostas with the same lady in Brandon, MB. This is one of the ones I received this year and is one of 4 Lakeside Hostas to be added this year.

After a spot of minor insect damage in early 2011 -brown spots on some of the leaf margins, just barely visible on the left hand side- it looks quite nice by 15th August. Though I haven't any pictures of it, the plant did flower, and as with all of the other Lakesides I have, it set seeds. It also produced additional offsets, so there's little doubt about the vigour of this variety.

Early May 2012 and as you see the variegation is somewhat different from the year before. Not only that, the leaves appear to be narrower, more tapered.

Here it is mid-April 2013, and it's looking quite nice.
