Bergamo

'Bergamo' is another of the new varieties we have for 2003. The size of the blooms have been variable up to this point, but I suspect that has to do with a combination of the viability of the original bulb, as well as where it was planted. Undoubtedly some will get moved in the fall to a more suitable location. We had one in the front flower bed (shown directly below) and it was quite a bit larger in flower and leaf than the ones in the sideyard.

The overall colouration of this hybrid is very much like a lighter, pinkish version of 'Arena'.
