H. 'Frosted Mouse Ears'

An end-of-season clearance sale proved to be too tempting, 16 October 2011. There were 3 other ones that came home with me that day: 'Corkscrew', 'Mouse Trap' and 'Alakazaam'.

'Blue Mouse Ears' has long been in my top 5 favourite Hostas and I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to expand the family when there was a 2 for the price of 1 sale.

It came back up with three shoots in 2012 and, as you can see, it is not terribly stable, quite a lot of variation in the variegation. Hopefully this year the variegation will lighten-up over the season, but, if it doesn't then we'll have to consider the possibility of incorrect labeling.
